A warm Welcome to the private accommodation Stadtnest - Vienna!
My name is Barbara Lenz. I am your hostess and I hope you will find Stadtnest Bed & Breakfast and Stadtnest Holiday Apartment both comfortable and practical, and a good base for exploring our beautiful city.
It is my first concern to fulfil - or better to exceed - your expectations as a guest of a comfortable and pleasant stay at both the B&B and holiday apartment.
I was born and raised in Vienna. Except for a two year stay in Burma/ Southeast Asia, while I was working in development cooperation for the UN, I spent all my life in Vienna.
Together with my husband Clemens I love to travel and experience new countries and cultures. Personal interest and a long-time job as an employee and consultant for international aid organisations allowed me to travel to more than 50 countries so far.
In all countries we visited, we always experienced a lot of hospitality, especially when we were able to stay with local families, in private holiday homes or family run guesthouses. For me, this always meant to be able to learn more about my host country and to feel a bit more ?local".
After the birth of our daughter Leya in 2002 we are now discovering that the "travel gene" seems to run in the family. Leya at her young age so far has visited about 10 countries and thoroughly enjoys each of our trips. We hope that travelling will help our daughter to become a tolerant and open-minded person, who appreciates the diversity and beauty of our world.
By opening the Stadtnest Bed and Breakfast and more recently the Stadtnest Holiday Apartment I also fulfil my long cherished business dream. Considering myself as something like a "professional traveller" it is my endeavour as a host to now apply all the good and valuable experiences I myself made as a guest. I am pleased to offer you my hospitality here in Vienna.
The Stadtnest does have its personal touch in style and idea, but I am more than happy to receive your suggestions and ideas!
